Late Policy

HW assignments (HW 1-4) are subject to a 20% late penalty per day. However, we understand there might be some circumstances where you may need more time to complete assignments, thus we provide each student with a total of 2 slip days to use across these assignments.

Slip days are applied in whole-day increments and are automatically used on late submissions until exhausted. For example, you may

  • use both slip days on a single assignment (extending the deadline by 2 days), or
  • use one slip day on two separate assignments (extending each by 1 day).

Please use your slip days thoughtfully. Please do not email us requesting deadline extensions, as we will grade based on the actual submission time and your remaining slip day balance. For the bonus mini-project, no late submission will be accepted.

AI Usage Policy

  • Code: You may use LLMs to debug your code; however, you may not use LLMs to generate your entire code, and code must be reviewed and tested.
  • Writing: You may use LLMs to correct grammar, style and latex issues; however, you may not use LLMs to generate entire solution, sentences or paragraphs. All writing must be in your own voice.
